Alex Bodney, a 6’1 point guard from Providence Christian in Jacksonville, Florida is off the board. Bodney, who averaged 8ppg and 3apg, for a Providence team that finished the regular season with a 25-0 record and an overall record of 27-2 committed to Eckerd College this week. Alex, who has been a four year starter for Providence, also started on the Jacksonville Lee Bulls 17 and under team this summer.
Alex Bodney, had this to say about committing to Eckerd College. – “I took an unofficial and an official visit and felt like I had a great connection with the players and coaches. I feel that I have an opportunity to contribute early, learn a lot from coach Ryan, and that we have the talent to make it to the tournament every year and compete for conference and national titles. The school was also close to home with a great international business program which is something I’m interested in and the campus is great. I chose Eckerd over GA Southern, St Leo, Valdosta State, but it was really narrowed down to GA Southern and Eckerd.”
