Angelo Warner
Angelo Warner, former summer AAU teammate of Shane Larkin who just recently committed to DePaul, has chosen his future college. Warner who was a third team all state selection for classification 3A last year, sparked a number of schools interest this summer playing with the Showtime Ballers coached by Diana Neal.
Warner is a 6’3 combo guard from Jones High School in Orlando, Florida, who can fill it up in a wide variety of ways. After carefully weighing his many different options and possible schools to attend, Angelo has decided to verbally commit to Head Coach Donnie Tyndall of Morehead State University. Morehead State has been a very successful basketball program in the OVC the last few years. Last year they finished with a record of 24-11, 15-3 in conference play which is very impressive.
Angelo was being recruited by multiple division one programs such as: Penn State, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville University, High point, and Rider University. When asked why he chose Morehead over others, he had this to say, “ I love the coaching staff at Morehead, they really let their guys play in the half court. I love the recruits that they are bringing in and I feel like I will fit in very well with them and be able to make an immediate impact as a freshman.”
