Daniel “TJ” Sapp is taking his first official visit

Daniel “TJ” Sapp, a 6’3 explosive combo guard from Northeast High School, accomplished a lot during his junior year. Sapp averaged over 20 points a game, helped lead his team to the championship at the Kreul Classic, helped his high school team earn a national ranking as high as 18th in the country, and was first team all Broward County, by the Miami Hearld.

Sapp’s play didn’t stop there. As he suited up for the famous black and pink uniforms donned by Team Breakdown, Daniel was out to prove he was a high major guard, and could play with anyone in the country. Sapp’s play on the hardwood in the high school season and on the summer circuit helped him earn offers from Clemson and Nebraska, while several other BCS schools have been to Oakland Park to evaluate him this fall.

First year Northeast Head Coach Gerald Gillion had this to say about Daniel Sapp – “Daniel Sapp is a fearless player. It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog, and Daniel is a fighter. He is an explosive lead guard that will take off on you. He flourishes in the transition game. He is a big, strong, fast guard that shoots it well, and is a lock down defender. He can guard any perimeter spot on the floor.”

Daniel, who visits Clemson this weekend, is one of the state’s top unsigned senior guards. Sapp showed this summer that he can play either guard position. He is a tenacious on the ball defender, and has the strength and athleticism to defend multiple positions.
