After leading Lakewood High School’s basketball team to a 23-5 record and averaging a team best 13ppg t along with 5apg, 7rpg and 4spg, Dominic Lane was selected to first team all Pinellas County Athletic Conference and honorable mention All Sun Coast. The 6’3 guard in the 2010 class didn’t just take care of business on the court; he took care of it in the classroom as well. His success on and off the court has led to recruitment from Ivy League and Patriot League programs.
“Right now I’m in touch with South Carolina, Colgate, Harvard, Brown, Howard, Jacksonville University, Flagler and Eckerd College. I have received an offer from Eckerd and Flagler.”
“In a college I’m looking for playing time, student-teacher ratio, graduation rate, returning seniors, and also player and coach chemistry.”
Dominic Lane is a big time defensive guard, who was the best player and leading scorer for one of the state’s dominate 5A programs last high school season. This spring and summer he played a reserve roll for Team STAT playing behind future McDonald All-American’s Brandon Knight and Austin Rivers. While Lane’s roll was limited on the circuit, you can expect him to have a breakout season in Pinellas County this year.
