Jason Pimentel’s college decision is in

Jason Pimentel’s college decision is in, and he has decided to be a Monarch. Pimentel, a 6’8 forward from Montverde Academy, committed to Old Dominion University after taking his official visit last weekend.

Jason Pimentel on why he choose Old Dominion – “I choose ODU because they have a tradition of winning, and when you graduate you leave with a great degree. I liked what i saw inside the gym and outside plus the basketball team are like rock-stars.”

Jason, a 6’8 senior forward, played on a national stage this summer suiting up for the Florida Rams Black travel basketball team. His play on the summer circuit earned him offers from East Carolina, UNC Wilmington, Rider, Tennessee Tech, Stetson, Richmond and his future school, Old Dominion.

Pimentel transferred to Montverde Academy after winning the Ocala Star-Banner boy’s basketball player of the year award and averaging a double-double (20ppg and 10rpg) for Ocala Trinity.
