Jeremiah Samarrippas, a senior point guard at Bartow High School, is headed to Texas. Samarrippas averaged 13.7points, 8.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 steals this season, while leading the Yellow Jackets to a 25-5 record and helping them capture the 5A State Championship.

Jeremiah also collected 5A player of the year honors, helping him garner interest from Mississippi State, Oklahoma, University of Tennessee Chattanooga, FAMU and Bethune Cookman before deciding on Southern Methodist University from the Conference USA.
