Kaleb Clyburn
Montverde Academy’s floor general, Kaleb Clyburn, is ready to start taking college visits after coming off a highly successful senior campaign. Kaleb was an instrumental part in leading the Eagles to a 23-5 overall record and to the championship game of the ESPN Rise National High School Invitational Tournament.
Montverde, who is ranked 5th in the country according to ESPN Rise Magazine, defeated Montrose Christian and Winter Park in route to the championship game where they lost to Findlay Prep 59-46. This championship game was a rematch of the finals at the Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament where Montverde Academy defeated the Findlay Prep Pilots for the Championship and Kaleb Clyburn collected tournament MVP honors.
Kevin Sutton, Head Coach at Montverde Academy, had this to say about Kaleb: “Kaleb is the second best point guard to come out of my program (Dash Harris is the first). He has grown tremendously as a player and a leader!”
Clyburn averaged 10 points and 8 assists for the Eagles, and currently holds offers from Delaware, University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and Charleston Southern. Kaleb is also receiving interest from Siena, Niagara, and Appalachian State.
The heady point guard is taking an official visit to Delaware this weekend and University of Tennessee Chattanooga next Thursday, but doesn’t plan on making a decision until he has visited all of the schools that have offered him.
