Quincy Ford, a 6’7 wing prospect from Gibbs High School, in St. Pete, Florida, is taking his first official visit this weekend. Ford knows exactly what he is looking for in a college program to help him make his decision: “Academically, I’m looking for a school where I will excel and be successful at. Athletically, I’m looking for a school where I fit their style of play, and will have an opportunity to play early in my career and be developed into a highly elite player. Most likely I plan on signing late, especially if I am not happy with the schools that have offered me.” – Quincy Ford
Quincy Ford will visit Northeastern University this weekend. Northeastern, who is coached by Bill Coen, went 20-13 overall last year and 14-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Huskies lost to Connecticut by two points in the NIT last season.
Quincy led the Gibbs Gladiators to a 16-5 record, helping him earn honorable mention all Pinellas County and third team all South Division Pinellas County Athletic Conference, as a junior. He played on the summer circuit with the Courtside Cavaliers travel basketball team. Ford’s play during the evaluation period has garnered interest from UNCW, Bryant, West Point, North Florida and Offers from Stetson, Northeastern and Tulane.
