Rashawn Rembert
Rashawn Rembert, a 6’3 shooting guard from Sickles High School, has made his college decision. Rembert averaged 21 points and 7 rebounds as junior, while helping lead his team to the class 5A state championship game and earning first team on the St. Pete Times All-Suncoast team.
Rashawn committed to East Tennessee State over offers from Delaware, James Madison, Jacksonville, Furman, North Florida, Stetson, Liberty, Northeastern and UNCW.
“I chose ETSU because they were the best fit for me basketball wise and academically. They really are all over the place on defense which works to my advantage: they like to run and gun on offense and they’re always winning and at the top of their league.” – Rembert on why he committed to ETSU.
Rashawn will join an ETSU team that has multiple members and a coach from the Tampa Bay area. Scott Wagers, a former assistant at Robinson High School is an assistant coach on staff, while Sheldon Cooley (Plant), Lukas Poderis (Ridgewood) and Adam Sollazzo (Armwood) are all current players on the Buccaneers roster.
