Sam Mills

One thing is sure, Sam Mills, aka “Sam-I-Am”, a 185 pound, 6’2 point guard out of the 2010 class is making the most of playing on the summer circuit with South Florida Elite. After leading his team to a win in the semifinals against the Florida Rams at the Best of the South tournament, he came back an hour later to lead them to the championship over Florida Elite.

Mills, who already owns offers from Delaware and Marshall University, has used the live recruiting period as an opportunity to springboard himself on the radar of mid-major division one schools.

Playing for Cardinal Gibbons High School, Mills averaged 15ppg, 7apg, 3rpg and 3spg, earning honorable mention all county, but his breakout season has come this spring and summer.

A complete point guard, Mills has a high basketball IQ and very rarely turns the ball over. He knocks down the three ball consistently (Hitting five 3’s in the semifinal game vs. the Florida Rams at the Best of the South Tournament) and uses his quick handle to create his own midrange shot and finish at the rim.

While Mills may not be the best athlete around, he competes on defense and uses his IQ and toughness to defend quicker players.

With a high GPA and great attitude, Delaware (offer), Marshall (offer), Furman, and Georgia Southern have already figured out what other mid-major programs soon will… Sam Mills is a winner. You can expect several other mid-major programs to join the hunt in landing Mills to sign a letter of intent this fall.
