Wilfried Yeguete Taking A Visit

Will YegueteWilfried Yeguete, a 6’7, 205 pound senior forward from Florida Air Academy, is back on the radar of high major basketball programs. After having a stellar summer on the circuit and receiving a lot of interest, some of the interest died down at the start of the school year. His recruitment was revived, however, after being rated the second best player at the Nike Team Florida “Workout” exposure camp, held the last weekend of September. This weekend, Yeguete will be on an official visit at Big East program, St John’s. St John’s, who finished with an overall record of 16-18 last season and 6-12 in the Big East, is located in Queen’s, New York, and is coached by Norm Roberts. Yeguete is not  the  first Florida Air Academy player Roberts has recruited, as Roberts landed Sasha Kaun while an assistant at Kansas.

Yeguete averaged 12ppg and 10rpg while leading Florida Air Academy to a 24-1 record. Florida Air Academy’s only loss on the season came to eventual 2A state champion, Arlington Country Day. Additionally, Wilfried played on the summer circuit for Tom Topping and Nike Team Florida.

    Hey Ryan,
IU fan here. Do you have any video of Will Yeguete? Does he play above the rim? It appears the IU coaching staff is following Will closely. From what i have read he seems like a high character player?
    Thanks,
    Bob
